Throughout the Carter and Reagan administrations, millions of TV viewers became addicted to The Dukes Of Hazzard, a weekly glimpse into the happenings of a fictional Georgia town called Hazzard County. Cousins Bo and Luke Duke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) sped around town in their bright orange race car General Lee always doing good, while the greedy, but amicable “Boss” Hogg (Sorrell Booke) engineered various schemes for revoking the Duke boys parole and making himself lots of money. Nevertheless, the Dukes always foiled Boss’s plans, along with those of his accomplice, local Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane (James Best). Bo and Luke are joined on their family farm by Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle), a grandfatherly role model who looks after the family, and their beautiful cousin daisy (Catherine Bach). With local mechanic “Crazy” Cooter (Ben Jones) on their side, the Duke clan creates a formidable obstacle to the money-making shenanigans of “Boss” Hogg. But most fans of the show will admit that the real star of the show is the General Lee itself…

The Dukes Of Hazzard (Season 3) DVD provides a number of famous episodes, including guest appearances by musicians Tammy Wynette, Roy Orbison, and The Oak Ridge Boys. Sheriff Little of Chickasaw County (don pedro colley) makes the first of many appearances in Season 3. Other notable episodes include “The Great Santa Claus Chase” in which Boss Hogg conspires to steal the county’s delivery of Christmas trees so he can resell them at exorbitant profits, but the Dukes and Cooter have different plans, and “My Son, Bo Hogg” in which Boss Hogg takes advantage of Bo’s amnesia and turns him against the Dukes…
